Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc. is proud to announce its inclusion on the Austin Business Journal’s “Fast 50” Fastest Growing Companies in Austin list. For the second year in a row, our company was ranked on the publication’s list of fastest growing companies (under $10M in revenue). This year, Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., which includes the business units of The Search Engine Guys, Ngage Live, and Big Momma Apps found itself in the #16 spot on the list.

Other companies included on the list include Adlucent, EB Quickstart, and Kendra Scott Design, Inc. Members of the Cloud Family attended the awards ceremony on Thursday, October 18th at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. As a group, we would like to thank the Austin Business Journal for continually recognizing the hard work of companies in Austin and we are very proud of our inclusion on this prestigious list.

Joe Devine, CEO of Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc. Speaks at WTLA Seminar

Joe Devine, CEO of Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc. spoke last week at the Western Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA) in Maui, Hawaii. The conference is held annually for members of the WTLA, whose membership features top-notch trial lawyers from various parts of the Western United States.

This years’ conference was held at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, and the theme of the convention was “Pride, Passion & The Practice of Law”. This is the third year that Joe has spoken at the conference, and this year, he discussed the benefits of live-chat services and search engine optimization as they relate to attorneys’ practices.

Joe Devine, CEO of Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc. spoke at the Summer 2012 session of the M&L Legal Management and Marketing Seminar at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia.  His talk, titled:  “The Art of Designing Your Website for Maximum Conversion” discussed the importance of website conversion as it applies to the legal field.

Marshall Hughes and Lee Coleman have been sponsoring the M&L events since 1992, and the goal of the seminars is to allow attorneys from around the United States the chance to meet and share ideas for further industry success.  Past seminars have been held in the Dominican Republic, Aruba, and in Utah.

Joe Devine and the rest of the Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc. family are proud to contribute to the M&L Legal Management and Marketing Seminars and look forward to future participation in such a great event.

 

On June 1, 2012, Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc. team members headed to the K1 Speed indoor go-kart track for the company’s most recent quarterly event. K1 Speed features a track that is among the largest indoor tracks in the nation, and the 20hp go-karts allow drivers to zip around the course at speeds of nearly 45 mph.

After three hours of racing and many impressive lap-times recorded, a final race was held with the top finalists for the day. When the dust settled, the results were as follows:

3rd Place – Tom Swanson

While the triumphant winners each left the victory stand with trophies in-hand, the entire Cloud family agreed that this event was one that should be repeated, fitting well alongside past events like the Cloud Masters Putt Putt Tourney, Cloud Bowling Challenge, and Field Day.

Today, Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc. CEO Joe Devine will be speaking about legal marketing at the Trial Lawyer Marketing Roundtable in Phoenix, Arizona.  He will be discussing the use of live chat services like Ngage  to increase conversion and provide web visitors with elevated customer service. They’ll also speak about our legal app developers, Big Momma Apps, who develop a variety of apps for legal marketing purposes.

This Thursday, October 27th, Joe Devine (CEO of Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc.) will be speaking at the DuPont Legal Network Marketing and Referral Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Joe will be speaking on a panel with Jamie Rubin from Wildman Harrold and Vince Catanzaro from DuPont about “Using New Technologies to Market Your Firm”.   New technology like mobile apps for attorneys can help defense lawyers connect with current and potential clients and has proven to be a valuable tool for a population that is increasingly using their phones for web-surfing and connecting with legal professionals whose services they need.

The conference will be hosted by Lewis and Roca LLP, and there will be multiple sessions dedicated to showcasing the Dupont Legal Model for corporate defense and other relevant topics.  Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc. is excited to participate in the conference and is looking forward to discussing new technologies with the participants.

 

 

Cloud [8] Sixteen, Inc. was honored to be a part of Ben Glass’s Great Legal Marketing conference in New Brunswick, New Jersey this month. The conference was held on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of September, and the turnout was fantastic. For conference attendees, the event gives them the chance to learn about new marketing ideas for their law firms. For us, we particularly enjoyed spending time with our Ngage Live clients.

We are blessed to have such great clientele and special thanks to Ben Glass for putting on such a great conference.

Cloud 8 Sixteen, Inc., is proud to announce that it has been ranked by Inc magazine at #167 on Inc. 500′s “Fastest-growing Companies in America” list.  For over 30-years, Inc  has released its annual rankings of American private companies, recognizing these companies’ entrepreneurial success.

In order to qualify for the honors, a company must be privately-held (without being a division or subsidiary of another company), and should be able to show at least four calendar-years’ worth of sales. In addition, the company must have made at least $200,000 in the first calendar year and  must be able to show at least $2 million dollars in revenue in the most recent year.
