Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., Ranked in ABJ’s 2014-2015 Book of Lists

Every year the Austin Business Journal releases their Book of Lists, highlighting the top Austin businesses in a variety of industries. This year, the team at Cloud[8]sixteen, Inc., is excited to announce that we were ranked #10 in the Advertising & Marketing Agencies category. Rankings are determined based on a company’s gross 2013 income for their Austin office.

Cloud[8]Sixteen website redesigned

The new design for Cloud[8]Sixteen’s website, www.cloud8sixteen.com, went live today. It features a clean, responsive design that will allow users to easily navigate the site on any type of desktop or mobile device. In addition to providing information on the company’s two main business divisions, the new design features an updated “Careers” page, detailing available positions and internships with the Cloud[8]Sixteen family.



Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., named to Best Companies to Work for in Texas for 7th Straight Year

10thLogoThe entire team at Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., is proud to announce that we’ve been named one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas for the 7th consecutive year. The statewide survey held by Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business, Texas SHRM and Best Companies Group, recognizes and honors the 100 best places of employment in Texas, and we have been distinguished as one of the 2015 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.

The methodology used to determine who makes the Best Companies to Work for in Texas list includes a two-part survey process, featuring an evaluation of each company’s policies, systems, philosophies, practices, and demographics, followed by an employee survey used to measure the overall employee experience. These combined scores determine the final rankings, with the employee experience survey accounting for 75% of the overall score.

The top 100 companies in Texas will be honored at the Hyatt Regency Austin on March 31, 2015, where the full list of final rankings will be revealed. Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., will also be included in the Texas Monthly special publication that spotlights the Best Companies to Work for in Texas.



Second “Cloud 5k” Raises Money for Melanoma Research

On Friday, November 21st, 39 members of the Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., family took to the trails at Town Lake to raise money for the Melanoma Research Foundation in the company’s second charity 5k run. The company agreed to donate for every team member who completed the race, and was able to raise a total of $1,000 to donate to this important organization. Cloud[8]Sixteen Donates to 3rd Annual Mother & Me Tea

Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., is pleased to have had the opportunity to donate to the 3rd annual Mother & Me Tea, a fundraising event that occurs on Mother’s Day weekend and that benefits the Saint Louise House. This year, the event took place on Saturday, May 10th at Green Pastures restaurant and honors the accomplishments of all mothers, while also raising money for an important charitable organization.

The Saint Louise House has been providing housing and comprehensive support services to homeless women and children throughout Central Texas since 2000, and helps residents work to achieve financial stability and long-term success. Since its creation, the organization has helped over 144 families and 292 children. Cloud[8]Sixteen, Inc., is honored to have had the opportunity to donate to such a worthy cause.



Cloud[8]Sixteen Races to Raise Money for March of Dimes

Cloud5kThis past Friday, 34 members of the Cloud[8]Sixteen family participated in a 5k run at Austin’s beautiful Town Lake in order to raise money for March of Dimes. For every person that finished the race, the company donated $25, for a total of $850 donated to the organization. The entire Cloud family was excited to have the opportunity to participate in this event and raise money for such a worthy cause.



Cloud[8]Sixteen Supports Leukemia Research

Cloud[8]Sixteen is proud to have helped sponsor Team Trace in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year fundraising competition for the Austin area. Trace Hight was awarded runner-up in the annual competition after raising more than $45,000 for the organization’s leukemia and other blood cancer treatment research.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year competitions are carried out in communities across the country every year in order to help raise funds for awareness of and research for blood cancer. Every dollar a candidate raises counts as one vote, and at the end of a ten week period, whoever has the most votes in their community earns the title of Man or Woman of the Year.

At Cloud[8]Sixteen, we are always happy to be able to give back to our community however we can, and we extend our congratulations to Trace and his team for their success in this year’s fundraising event.
